  • Client Connections
    Myriad supports connections via NFS v4, NFS v3, SMB, and upcoming updates will provide support for S3 and other interfaces. Clients connect through a single IP address, regardless of how large the cluster grows. Myriad automatically balances client connection loads across multiple 100GbE ports using ECMP. BGP routing utilizes unnumbered interfaces to minimize network configuration efforts during initial deployment and scaling.
  • Data Services
    Myriad provides built-in automatic data deduplication and compression for small blocks. Versioning is supported through snapshots and clones, without impacting the operation of the file service.
  • File System
    Myriad is designed to leverage the full benefits of NVMe flash storage and RDMA. The distributed Myriad file system stores both file and object data, attributes, and embedded metadata in a key-value backend storage. Data and metadata are distributed across all nodes to ensure maximum resilience.
  • Transactional Key/Value Store
    Myriad provides "Lock-free" scaling even in the largest systems and responds quickly to changes in the availability of storage nodes. The write redirection feature ensures that new data is always written to free space rather than overwriting existing data. This naturally supports versioning, snapshots, and rollbacks, providing protection against data loss due to accidental deletions and ransomware attacks.
  • Dynamic Erasure Coding
    Stored data is protected using dynamic n+m erasure coding. As the cluster grows or shrinks, or when drives or nodes fail and are replaced, the cluster dynamically adjusts for maximum efficiency and protection, all without administrator intervention.
  • Maximally Simplified Upgrade
    Storage expansion involves simply installing and connecting new storage nodes. There is no need to submit requests to network administrators or even open an interface. Myriad automatically detects new nodes and deploys them in the cluster for immediate use.
